As a celebration of the Georgian era gets under way this year to mark the accession to the throne of George I, Hand Picked Hotels is hosting a Heritage Breaks promotion

The promotion highlights the glorious architecture and history of its hotels, from Georgian gems to splendid Victorian and Edwardian mansions.

From £149 per room, per night*, the offer includes a  pre-dinner glass of Tilia Chardonnay or Malbec wine, a three-course dinner, overnight accommodation in a classic twin or double bedroom and full traditional breakfast. Bookings made by 3 March  will also enjoy a complimentary bedroom upgrade to an executive room**. Guests can also choose either a dining upgrade to a la carte for £15 per person, or a 55 minute full body massage or facial at the reduced rate of £59 at the time of booking.

The award-winning collection of 20 country house hotels across the UK and Channel Islands includes  architecturally splendid former private country houses with fascinating histories, mainly built in the 18th and 19th centuries to enable their wealthy and titled owners to entertain guests on a grand scale -  including royalty, prime ministers, captains of industry, writers and film stars.  The hotels offer the experience and the indulgence of a country house visit with exquisite food, wine and leisure pursuits, without needing to be on an exclusive guest list.
