Hand Picked Hotels, originally a collection of hotels part of the Virgin group owned by Sir Richard Branson is now a group of 22 unique hotels and spa hotels created by former lawyer turned hotelier Julia Hands.
Since acquiring the group in 2001 the portfolio has changed shape with new additions and significant investment to each of the hotel.
A brief timeline
2001/2002
Julia Hands became CEO and Chairman of Hand Picked Hotels which included 16 hotels
2008
Audleys Wood Hotel and New Hall Hotel & Spa become part of the group
2012
Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath is acquired
2013 - 2014
Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa and St Pierre Park Hotel Golf Resort & Spa join the group in 2013, followed by Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa in 2014
2017
Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is purchased
2021
Braye Beach Hotel in Alderney, Fermain Valley Hotel and Zigguart Hotel in Guernsey join the collection
