We have a whole host of different activities available to suit, from go karting and clay pigeon shooting to wine tasting and cocktail masterclasses – team building activities work wonders for boosting moral, inter-departmental relations and kick start fresh and innovative thinking during an event.

After a few hours inside, nothing beats throwing open the meeting room doors and getting down and dirty in the great outdoors – you’ll have acres of that to play around in. For the slightly less adventurous, breaking out into a different part of the hotel for a treasure hunt or such like works just as well.

Whichever you decide, our teams and external facilitators are set to take care of the logistics leaving nothing but the promise of some unforgettable (and often hilarious) memories for you all to take away.

Indoor activities

Cocktail making

Our mixologist will go through the history of making cocktails followed by your chance to make your very own.

Blind food tasting

Remove your delegates sense of sight and smell and sample items to work out those special ingredients. Winning teams are rewarded with wine upgrades and a glass of bubbly at dinner.

Assiette of desserts & accompanying wines

Let your delegates savour the delights and tastes of 3 different desserts and matching dessert wines. Our knowledgeable banqueting staff will guide you through the tasting experience explaining what particular desserts have been paired with what wines and why.

Hand Picked World of Wines

Join us for a bespoke Hand Picked Journey around the world with wine tasting. Let your delegates savour the flavours of different wines whilst our specialist staff guide you through the tasting experience and the world of wines.

Outdoor activities

Quad bike obstacle

Learn how to negotiate your way round the obstacle course, created to practice technical, low speed riding and skills. Participants do not need any prior experience or need to be physically fit. It is exciting, testing and guaranteed to get the adrenalin flowing.

Reverse steer or blindfold driving

Reverse steer. Total confusion reigns as you drive a car that turns left when you want it to turn right. Driven around an obstacle course against the clock and with penalty points for hitting any cones on the way always ends up with hilarious results.

Blindfold driving challenge. This is a great team event. Everyone gets the chance to drive - whilst blindfolded - with the rest of the team shouting instructions from the back on how to negotiate the vehicle around a twisting, turning track.

Meltdown

The team must split eight units of highly volatile liquid into stable units. The difficulty is they only have three odd sized containers, and cut backs mean that there is only one protective glove each! A test of logical problem solving.

Geese herding

This activity is all about learning how to communicate with the Border Collies and getting them to herd geese through a course. The dogs are trained to respond to a variety of different commands and whistles and you will be amazed at how quickly you learn to control them and experience a traditional part of working farm life and a taste of the countryside.

Traditional longbows

Instead of shooting at a target straight in front of you, you will be aiming at an array of polystyrene animals. Take yourself back to medieval days when tonight’s dinner depends on how you perform out in the field. Try out a variety of traditional bows, with our very own Robin Hood showing how it should be done. You’ll be amazed how quickly you improve and how far you can fire an arrow!
